Excercise is the best to lose weight When someone joins my training program, one of the first things I ask him to do is to explain exactly what his body will look like if I help him achieve his goal weight. I urge them to do this in writing - not by phone, and that is why ...
Negative negative thoughts are the ones that cause us to struggle with any kind of weight loss or health-improvement program - in fact, our past failures can almost always be traced back to negative thoughts that we were unaware of and that we had.
Most of our negative thinking comes from writing things down on paper (or on a computer).
l challenge you to write 10 short descriptions of what your body will look like in 30 days if you are trained by someone like me - someone who knows how to transform a human body no matter what stage you are in at the moment.
Go ahead, take a moment to write down what your face will look like, what your arms will look like, what your legs and hips will look like - will your skin look different, will your muscles be strong, will you be gentle - explain everything, then come back.
Did you do it?
Make your list now before you read any more - I want you to go with in-depth information about you when you have finished reading this article.
OK, now that you have your list, let me show you something you can use to judge whether you were causing yourself to fail in your weight loss efforts and not keeping it.
Here are some examples of statements my close friend used to have before he and I started working together - statements that literally hindered him from success:
Highly polished facial features, no double chin, no lumps or puffy cheeks, no pockets under the eyes.Apart from the improvement of my face, I have no complaints at all about my face, hair, eyes, nose, ears.
Neck - no double chin or "wattle"
Chest-no gynecomastia (female breasts), muscular instead. Look, ma, I can see my ribs and pectoral muscles instead of the soft flab mattress.
Curves have arms-hard sinewy instead of soft bread crumbs. Identifying veins and muscles instead of smooth fat.
Abdomen-are there abs hiding there? They have not been seen in 50 years! It would be nice to have a tight waist that is not well cut with very tight underwear.
The small legs of the conical shape, very long and strong. Although my calves have always been big and strong — my best part of the body, close to my brain.
The buttocks are a little weaker, an extra shape. The back may have very thin hair, it would be nice to see a “V” shape instead of a reduced pyramid.
Do you see why they may have had fewer problems in the past to achieve their goal?
But I will let you know a little secret - this guy is in better shape now and enjoying life than ever before, and it 's fun to talk to him every week on our training calls.
Now here is a list from a woman who has just completed one of my training programs - this list was written after our first session together - see how good all the statements are:
